ADOPT A HYDRANT
The officers and members of the West Ridge Fire Department ask
that if you have a fire hydrant in front of your house or on your
block, please take some time and clear the snow from around it so
it is easily located by us just in case we need to use it.
When the snow begins to fall, we all know that snow adds up
quickly. All of us then begin to clear our driveways and
sidewalks. When you are out clearing your sidewalk and
driveway of snow, please take an extra 10 - 15 minutes to clear of
a hydrant. When we arrive on location, the last thing we
want to do is wait for water because we are unable to locate a
hydrant. So, please help us help you and keep you safe by
clearing hydrants that are in front of your house or on your
block.
